RSV DISEASE AND VACCINE INFORMATION

Evergreen in Williston and Alder Brook in Essex DO NOT HAVE the RSV vaccine.

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is an old disease, but has become a popular talking point because there is a new vaccine to prevent RSV disease. The vaccine has not yet been widely used, so its benefits and harms have not been fully realized.
For otherwise reasonably healthy people, it may be best to wait until there is more experience and and we know the risk of potential severe vaccine side effects.
If you are at very high risk (for instance severe lung disease such as COPD), you may want to consider getting the RSV vaccine, but we are not actively recommending it at this time.
