Lauren Adams, MD

Dr. Adams is a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician with special interests in preventative care, women’s health, and management of chronic disease. She joined Evergreen Family Health after graduating from the University of Vermont Family Medicine Residency in June 2024.

Lauren was born in Alabama and spent most of her childhood years moving around as part of a military family before settling in Blacksburg, Virginia. Despite the strong town rivalry, she left Blacksburg behind to attend the University of Virginia just up the road, where she received her B.A. in Mathematics and Economics. After graduating in 2012, Lauren worked in economic litigation in Washington D.C. for several years before ultimately returning to the University of Virginia to pursue a career in medicine. While there, her experiences scribing in a Family Medicine practice and volunteering for the local free clinic solidified her interest in Family Medicine.

When not at work, her interests include spending time with her husband, daughter, and adopted hound dog, as well as paddling, hiking, snowboarding, and caring for her ever growing produce garden.
